Do EV drivers need an app to pay?

No. Any driver can walk up, tap or insert their credit or debit card, and charge. No app, no registration, no account. MacJack and RFID are additional options for drivers who prefer them.

Is the payment terminal a separate device?

No. The payment terminal and touchscreen are built directly into the ChargePort charger hardware. One device, one SIM — covering both OCPP connectivity and payment processing.

Do I need to replace my existing chargers to use ChargePort CPMS?

No. ChargePort CPMS is OCPP compliant and works with any third-party OCPP charger. You can adopt the platform and payment terminal without replacing your existing hardware.
